Exit is an award-winning summer music festival. It is held annually at the Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad (Serbia), which is considered by many as one of the best festival venues in the world. EXIT is unique in the festival world as it started as a student movement fighting for peace and democracy in Serbia and the Balkans. Even today, EXIT has a strong social mission to help youth in the Balkans and it is run by a non-profit organisation.
Exit was nominated for 'Best Overseas Festival' twice; in 2007, when it won the award, and later in 2013. The festival was also shortlisted five times in a row for the world’s most important festival award, ‘Best Major European Festival’ at European Festival Awards, ultimately winning it in 2013. So far, Exit has received huge global media attention and recognitions. One of them came from the international edition of CNN, which included EXIT in the list of nine best festivals in the world. The Guardian named EXIT the best festival in the world in 2006 and the best tourist destination in 2008.
The Sun, British daily newspaper included Exit in the list of eight best festival destinations in 2012. In Euronews' May 2013 article on world's leading festival destinations, Exit was included in the ten best European festivals in 2013. Fifteenth edition of the Best European Festival will be marked by EXIT ADVENTURE, held from 10 to 13 July 2014 at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, only to continue at SEA DANCE Festival, from 15 to 17 July 2014 at one of the most beautiful beaches at the Adriatic Sea, Jaz Beach, Montenegro.
